About Me
ONLINE CONSULTING WORLDWIDE
Hi, I’m Becca.
I live in Los Angeles, California.
I came to this work as a result of my own struggles with chronic illness.
When my husband and I moved to Western Massachusetts in 2020, we purchased a beautiful farm house that was built during the 1700s, knowing absolutely nothing about home ownership, let alone toxic mold. My health had been steadily declining for some years, but within weeks after having moved into the home, my health took a nosedive. I found myself with almost no short term memory. I experienced episodes of vertigo, full-body blistering eczema, panic attacks, depression, and extreme gastrointestinal reactions to many different types of foods.
I went to see the rheumatologist, who ultimately diagnosed me with Hashimoto’s and Celiac Disease. I was also in a pre-disease state for an aggressive and sometimes fatal autoimmune disorder called CREST Scleroderma.
Western medicine was telling me that I should expect to live a shortened lifespan, where my quality of life would progressively get worse and worse, and where my best hope was to take strong prescription medications that would slow the progression of disease, but would not cure me.
It was such a mismatch from how I felt in my body. I didn’t feel like I was going to die in a couple of years. Deep down, I knew that I needed to search for better answers than “come back when you feel sicker.”
I began working with a functional medicine doctor and a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. My doctor tested my urine for mycotoxins, and she told me that I was living in a home with toxic mold. This began my journey toward healing myself using holistic changes in my nutrition and lifestyle.
Today, my energy and vitality have returned, my memory and cognition are excellent, I’ve been able to reintroduce all foods into my diet (except gluten), and my autoimmune antibodies are trending toward remission.
As I’ve continued on this journey, peeling back layer upon layer of healing (mold, parasites, mineral deficiencies, trauma…), I’ve been filled with a sense of purpose to help others going through similar health struggles.
So I went back to school. I studied with the Nutritional Therapy Association, Restorative Wellness Solutions, and ultimately trained myself on the interpretation of Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis.
As a practitioner, I want my clients to succeed. I employ evidenced-based methods for coaching behavioral change, including Motivational Interviewing. I am empathetic, persistent, careful, and curious. The most satisfying part of my job is when a client experiences a major shift in their symptoms.
I received my BA from Yale University in 2010, where I took numerous courses in Environmental Studies and was mentored by Professor John Wargo.
Before working as an NTP, I worked as an environmental organizer in Southern California. I saw firsthand the horrific health consequences of fossil fuel infrastructure, which disproportionately affects the black and brown communities located next to refineries, oil wells, and pipelines.
As much as I am dedicated to supporting health on an individual level, I also acknowledge that in order for both my clients, and society at large, to achieve true wellness, we need systemic change.
Our planet is at a tipping point for the health of not only our species, but all lifeforms. Yes, personal changes like filtering our air and water can help protect us from exposure to environmental toxins. AND no amount of personal interventions will fully prevent exposure to systemic pollution.
We need a radical change in how human beings live life on Planet Earth, without the same patterns of exploitation and wastefulness that have led to our current environmental and health crisis. This transcends conventional politics–People of all backgrounds understand that their health is threatened by the status quo.
While I feel jaded and cynical about solutions that come from corrupt governments, and I’m uncertain about the path toward a solution, I do believe we need there to be large-scale collective changes in how our society and economy functions.
Environmental activism is a Root Cause approach.
How We Work Together
I work 1 on 1 with clients in 3 month increments. Depending on the complexity of your health concerns, I may recommend conducting laboratory testing. After on-boarding, we meet together over video conference twice per month. I provide personalized recommendations that address foundational imbalances in the body by making changes in diet, lifestyle, and supplements, updating these recommendations as our work progresses.
If a client needs additional support after those 3 months, I’m available for one-off meetings, or on a month to month basis.

“Before I started working with Becca, I had struggled with chronic constipation for decades. I would often poop only once a week. None of the recommendations my doctors made over the years helped.
Within several weeks of working with Becca, I now poop almost every day.”
